Are Conference agents being ripped off?!

As conference agents, we are in this industry providing a service for our clients to achieve their needs. This generally comes at no cost for the client; however at what cost does this affect the business?

Agents can often feel used and abused, as our ideas and booking power can be misplaced by clients, and someone else can reap the benefits of our hard work. Like all business’ we have to recover costs through what well – no pitch is free, and someone always pays in the end.

This is a great industry to be in, however it is frustrating when you are used as an ideas factory for large corporate companies, that have preferred agents, or companies that never intend to book through, but collect information and rates and go direct anyway.

In an ideal world agents should have the right to charge, however asking for a fee could deter potential clients. Morris Conferencing continues with free venue finding in order to provide the best service for their customers by saving them time and money.
